The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ayesu Ntim, has praised the government’s leadership for steering Ghana from the brink of despair to a path of economic recovery.

He noted that, despite the challenges posed by global crisis like COVID-19, the government implemented crucial measures to improve the country’s situation and better serve all Ghanaians.

Speaking at the manifesto launch on August 18 in Takoradi, Mr Ntim acknowledged that while Ghana is not entirely out of the woods, significant progress has been achieved.

“Under the visionary leadership of the president, Ghana has risen from the brink of despair. We are on the right path, from where I sit, towards economic prosperity and have embarked on far-reaching institutional reforms for good and accountable governance within a stable democratic society,” he stated.

Mr Ntim highlighted the party’s accomplishments, including the successful implementation of the Free Senior High School policy, the establishment of STEM and TVET schools, mobile money interoperability, and the launch of Agenda 111.

He therefore urged voters to support the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections.
