The Bono Regional Minister, hon. Justina Owusu-Banahene has extended her best wishes to all Ghanaians as the country joins the world to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Regional Minister entreated the people of the Region and Ghana at large to mark the Christmas celebrations with caution to prevent any casualties.

In her Christmas message delivered during the interview on Ark FM on Tuesday, Justin Owusu-Banahene called for a collective effort to protect lives.

She urged all Ghanaians not to relent in their efforts to pray for God’s love and peace to enable the country to consolidate the prevailing peace and stability as the nation prosecuted the Better Ghana Agenda.

Hon. Banahene called on Christians to use this year’s celebration to adhere to a shared set of values, including honesty, integrity, generosity, peace, and forgiveness.

The Minister lamented that rather than doing the needful, many professing Christians engage in sinful acts, crime, and criminal activities that Jesus Christ preached against.

She explained that the way out of the situation is for Christians to adhere strictly to the teachings that centre on repentance, salvation, redemption, and reformation into new life.

Inasmuch, the Bono minister called on Christians to reflect God’s light and incarnational love into the world as we seek to be a bearers of that same hope, compassion, and peace that came into the world through Jesus.

In line with Nation Road Saftey Authority’s vision to reduce road crashes, Hon. Justina Owusu-Banahene entreat motorists and Ghanaians in general to observe strictly the traffic regulations, drive safely, and be moderate in their celebration to ensure a very peaceful and enjoyable Christmas.

According to her, the reality of time “required vigilance and personal security consciousness to stay alive”.

She has advised Ghanaians to spend wisely during Christmas celebrations to help manage their finances during the yuletide.

Justina Owusu-Banahene noted that Christmas was characterised by the buying of adornments, food, drinks, and new dresses and cautioned the populace to be measured in spending on those.
