“Tell us what you have done in your life before, what you’ve done in the party, and what you will do for Ghana if you should have the luck of being elected presidential candidate of the NPP.” Prof. Mike Quaye.

I believe this assignment is too challenging for some of us, but I will do my best to provide the best and most accurate answer by drawing on my previous work experience.

My understanding of your request is that you would like me to discuss my past experiences, my contributions to the party, and my vision for Ghana if I am elected as the NPP’s presidential candidate.

As the presidential candidate of the NPP, I envision a Ghana that thrives on unity, innovation, mechanized agriculture, industrialization, tourism, and economic growth. My past experiences as an entrepreneur and as an experienced politician have equipped me with the skills to foster collaboration among diverse groups and implement policies that uplift every Ghanaian.

First, Prof. Quaye, I am Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a business-oriented man who has already established numerous industries in Ghana that employ about seven thousand people. Currently, I am expanding my business to create more jobs for the youth in Ghana. The most recent one is the steel factory in Tema, which, when completed, will provide employment opportunities for approximately one thousand young Ghanaian people. It is important to share with you, Prof. Quaye, that my primary objective is to create more job opportunities for every Ghanaian youth if I am elected as the flagbearer and president of Ghana. I plan to leverage the nation’s resources to foster job creation through industrialization, which is a core principle of my vision.

I have been a financial supporter of the NPP ever since I became a member of the party. It was during the campaign that I, along with a few other friends, contributed some vehicles to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), raised money for national conferences, and participated in various other initiatives.

When it comes to the field of education, I have built additional schools in the Assin region, which has been of tremendous assistance to the young people in terms of expanding their various opportunities. Many young people in the region and across the country have been selected to receive scholarships to assist them in realizing their educational goals and achieving their dreams.

I am committed to protecting the interests of Ghanaians, and many people can attest to the fact that I am doing so. I am not acting for my own benefit; instead, I am working for the benefit of those who are marginalized and often intimidated by wealthy individuals. Throughout Anas’s investigations, which came dangerously close to implicating even the former president, I have been a staunch supporter of the party.

The love and enthusiasm that I have for Ghana are boundless and go beyond any and all boundaries. The noble people of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and all Ghanaians will be able to see the extent of my dedication when they entrust me with the responsibility of overcoming the challenges that our nation is currently facing.

“If you see something, say something,” which is a popular saying in the United States, indicates the importance of raising awareness among the general public. I want to protect the poor, widows, and widowers, but some think that’s too much. I say things how they are. The Holy Book says, Say the truth, and the truth will set you free. Some people may not appreciate the truth because it can be difficult to accept. If you love your country, you defend it by speaking the truth at all times. In our society, it is sometimes necessary to be brave and stand up for what is right.

I am dedicated to eliminating corruption and will consistently emphasize the importance of transparency and accountability within my government. I intend to implement strict anti-corruption measures, contingent upon receiving support from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the entire Ghanaian populace.

Finally, Prof. Quaye, I, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, urge the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and all Ghanaians to consider electing me as a leader who embodies exceptional communication skills, fairness, decisiveness, adaptability, resilience, strategic insight, prompt decision-making, and a dedication to public service. I am a business-minded individual committed to promoting a comprehensive industrialization initiative aimed at establishing globally competitive industries. As we pursue industrialization, industries with lower productivity, such as agriculture, will gradually transition to those with higher productivity, like manufacturing. This transition will lead to increased productivity and higher income levels. Furthermore, it will enable the adoption of innovative technologies and methods, which will further enhance overall productivity and drive economic growth.

When all Ghanaian farmers work diligently to increase food production, Ghana will be able to achieve agriculture on a large scale. We will consume what we cultivate, and we will sell the remainder around the world and in Africa. We will be able to lessen our reliance on borrowing money from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with the assistance of this strategy, provided that the good people of Ghana give me permission to carry out this mandate.

I have mentioned a few points that are reflective of my previous experiences, my contributions to the party, and my vision for Ghana in the event that I am elected as the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party. As we strive for a prosperous future, I am committed to fostering an environment where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient Ghana that embraces progress and innovation for the benefit of all. Ghana first.
