Nana Ohene Ntow, an advisor to independent presidential aspirant, Alan Kyerematen, has said that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama is not the change for Ghanaians in this year’s elections.
He says if Ghanaians need a change, they should not look anywhere else other than to Alan Kyerematen.
“I hear the NDC talking about Mahama being the change. I don’t know how the former vice president and the president can be the new person they want.
“If Ghanaians need change they should not go looking anywhere, because Mahama, Bawumia are not new at all. Alan is the man to be trusted,” he said on the Key Points on TV3 Saturday, July 27.
He was replying to a Former General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) who is currently the Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Lambussie, Professor Titus Beyuo who had said Ghanaians were yearning for change in this year’s election.
Prof Beyuo said the people were looking up to the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama to turn the fortunes around.
Speaking to TV3’s Mawuena Egbeta in Tamale where the NDC is launching their 2024 campaign on Saturday, July 27, he said: “I think what is happening here is what is happening in the country, everybody is yearning for a change, everybody’s hope is on H.E John Mahama to turn this country on the path of prosperity.”
The NDC will be launching its 2024 general elections campaign in Tamale today Saturday, July 27.
National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, said they will adopt a different campaign strategy this year including door to door campaign style.
The NDC will unveil its manifesto, outlining key policies such as a 24-hour economy, the abolishment of ex-gratia, and the export of nurses to address unemployment among health workers.
The event will feature the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, and other top officials, including National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, and members of the Council of Elders.
The NDC has launched its campaign in other regions so it is proper that you rotate the venue for the launch, Tamale Central lawmaker Murtala Mohammed told TV3’s Mawuena Egbeta.
