The media directorate of the Pru East MP-elect, Hon. Emmanuel Kwaku Boam has acknowledged the professionalism and significant roles played by journalists across the country, particularly in the Bono East Region, in ensuring smooth elections.

 

The media directorate of the elected MP emphasized the positive media reports that contributed significantly to the peaceful atmosphere before, during, and after the election.

 

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the media directorate stated that the Pru East Constituency’s post-election peaceful atmosphere would not have been achieved without the relentless efforts amid accurate reporting of the media.

 

The statement also attributed Hon. Emmanuel Kwaku Boam’s victory to the persistent, accurate, and timely reporting by journalists, which highlighted the achievements of the then NDC parliamentary candidate.

 

The press statement, signed by the head of the MP’s media directorate, Lincoln Lechers, thanked the press for their prompt response to their calls during times of need.

 

Lincoln Lechers expressed appreciation to the media for providing a platform for Hon. Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, both traditional, online, television, and social media.

 

Mr. Emmanuel Kwaku Boam won the parliamentary seat for the National Democratic Congress after defeating his closest contender, Mr. Yusif Appeh Apertorgbor of the NPP, in the Pru East Constituency of the Bono East Region.

 

Mr. Boam polled 20,287 votes, beating his two contenders, Mr. Yusif Appeh Apertorgbor, the NPP’s PC, who had 8,737 votes, and Mr. Felix Nyarko, an independent PC, who received 2,504 votes.

 

 

Emmanuel Kwaku Boam will be one of the youngest elected members of Parliament in the next 9th Parliament.
