The Headmaster of Wamanafo Senior High Technical School in Wamanafo in the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region, Mr. Armstrong Asante has pleaded with Parents to collaborate strongly with teachers to offer the best training for their school-going children to provide them with a better future.
Speaking to Newsmen in a sideline interview during the 56th Anniversary of Agyemang Badu Basic School (AGYESCO) in Dormaa Ahenkro and a fundraising ceremony in aid of building a Junior High School, the Headmaster expressed gratitude to the Omanhene of Dormaa Traditional Council and his Elders for given out land for the school project and pleaded that Nananom must help them get a plan and develop a lease for the land to avoid future encroachment.
He again tasked parents to support the development of the school since the government alone cannot do it despite the free Basic Education.
The Former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Dormaa Central Municipal, Hon. Gordon Asubonteng, who was a guest speaker of the program expressed worry over persistent encroachment of the school lands.
He expressed frustration over how all Projects initiated for the school under his regime have been left unattended for over 7 years after his exit from governance and pleaded with all persons in the Dormaa Ahenkro to support the construction of the Junior High Schools project to enhance quality education.
The Headteacher of Agyemang Badu Basic School (AGYESCO), Mr Ernest Yeboah explained that the fundraising ceremony was purposely for the construction of JHS block at AGYESCO and called on residents of Dormaa Ahenkro to support the school project and not to solely depend on the government.
